Mediation & Conflict Resolution
Mr. Gabelein brings extensive experience as a mediator with experience in domestic, workplace, and business disputes.
He is a Certified Mediator with the Snohomish, Island, Skagit, and King County Dispute Resolution Center of Washington State. With over 250 hours of rigorous training, including in-class instruction and mock mediations, he is well-equipped to facilitate effective resolution processes and foster constructive dialogue and helping the parties author their own resolutions.
Jonathan is a construction management professional by education and industry experience and a consultant and mediator by profession. He is recognized for his persistence in helping parties author their resolution through aiding the parties in understanding perceptions of issues, opening up closed channels of communication, and reality testing positions and solutions.
Getting the parties to understand perceptions that create barriers to agreement is crucial to helping parties figure the issues out, author their solutions, and getting the deal done. Jonathan accomplishes this by focusing on clearly defining the issues and careful questioning about and articulation of the parties’ positions so they can be heard and understood by the other parties.
Every attempt is made to foster teamwork and to open up communication channels between the parties, which is so vital if the problems are to be resolved equitably and out of costly litigation.
Lastly, Jonathan is known for running towards the problem to get it resolved. Jonathan constantly reality tests and challenges the parties’ positions and assists them in understanding their associated risks.
